A UK Standard Visitor application is decided by UK Visas and Immigration. GOV.UK lists what you can and cannot do as a visitor and how to apply. Local VFS pages in India may add packing lists for biometrics.
Official requirement considerations
GOV.UK’s Standard Visitor pages are the starting point. They describe the visa, supporting information, and the application process.
UKVI looks at whether dates, funds, work or study ties, and accommodation tell one story. A flight printout is only one piece, if it is used at all.
Whether flight details may be required
Some applicants include a planned itinerary so dates line up with leave letters and hotel bookings. Whether that is asked for on your specific form or appointment letter can vary.
Do not treat a vendor template as a UKVI form requirement.
Whether a fully paid ticket is necessarily required
GOV.UK does not publish a single sentence that every visitor must buy a non-refundable ticket before applying — nor the opposite as a blanket rule for every case.

Does UKVI verify the PNR on an airline site?
During the 48-hour hold the PNR can be checked on the airline’s manage-booking page. That does not guarantee UKVI will accept the file.
